COLON COLORECTAL CANCER SYMPTOMS
As per the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer is one
of the most responsible causes of all the cancer related
deaths in the United States. Though there is no singular or
specific cause for the Colon Cancer, almost all the Colon
Cancers start as the benign polyps that gradually turning up
into the cancer. Colon Cancer Symtoms often do not appear
until the disease progresses into the most advanced stage.
Some of the most common Colon Cancer Symptoms however,
include the following:
• Bleeding accompanying or even concealed in the stools – is
considered as the common most symtoms of Colon Colorectal Cancer. Also
blood is often traced in the tumors near the anus
• Bleeding Hemorrhoids
• The unexpected weight loss due to the discomfort caused by
tumor leading to drastic loss of appetite
• Change in the bowel habits – consistent constipation and
diarrhoea or thinner stools due to the tumors that obstruct
the passages of feces
• Abdominal discomfort – that include tenderness in the
lower part of the abdomen, such as bloating, swelling,
cramping and feeling of fullness may be the symptom of the
colon cancer
• Fatigue – mild or severe conditions - this is the most
common symptom in many types of cancer, pale skins
• Unexpected anemic conditions
• Intestinal obstructions and small caliber narrow or
ribbon-like stools, often sensation of incomplete evacuation
after the bowel movements
• Unexplained, persistent nausea or vomiting
As revealed by the studies, the average duration of symptoms
from the onset of diagnosis is around 14 weeks. However,
there is no association between overall duration of symtoms
and the stage of the tumor.
