Allergy Remedies For Leading Symptoms

Spring sunshine is a welcome relief for most people, but for those who suffer with spring allergy symptoms it can be anything but an enjoyable season. Watery eyes, runny nose and trouble breathing are some of the most common complaints, and over-the-counter remedies are not enough for many, and prescription eye drops, nose drops and steroids may be required.
However, for those without insurance there are home remedies that can be made cheaply which are also effective. For example, you can make your own salt-water nasal spray that will clean out thick mucous even better then over-the-counter products. Eating spicy foods can also thin and drain mucous in your nose. Anyone who is allergic to pollen should avoid eating bananas, melon and sunflower seeds, because these can make standard symptoms worse. Low vitamin D levels have also been linked to a higher risk of allergy to ragweed and grasses, so taking supplements can be helpful.
